Huddle Stories, Episode 019: Introducing our new podcast, "Lone Geniuses"
We’re so excited to present our new podcast: Lone Geniuses!
It’s hosted by Huddle CEO and Co-founder, Mike Saloio, and delves into the lives and work of incredible Huddle members behind products and brands you love. Along the way, we debunk the myth of the "lone" genius and discuss the importance of collaborators and supporters in unlocking creativity and success.
Lone Geniuses’ first guest is Huddle member Dan Batten. Dan spent years working at Gin Lane, a venture studio in New York, that gave birth to brands like Sweetgreen, Hims & Hers, and Harry's.
Dan is currently the Creative Director at Hims & Hers. During this episode, they talk about everything from his early life, his career path, the people that helped him get to where he is today, and Mike’s favorite part of the episode: how Dan uses anxiety as a tool to unlock creativity.

🏆 Huddle Success Story
Cultivate connects online shoppers to local & small businesses through a Chrome extension similar to Honey. They help you feel better about your purchases by finding the best prices from local stores in your community, all while earning money to donate, for free. You can: shop like you normally do, feel good about your purchases, support local businesses, and make a difference – all for free.
Thank you to our Huddle member who helped design, implement, and launch the new Cultivate landing page and improve the overall onboarding and post-purchase end-to-end experience.

Huddle Member Francesca Morfini:
“I'm super psyched about Huddle. It's something I've been thinking about for a long time and just to be part of it is awesome, and I think you guys have done an amazing job. The onboarding process, the UI and everything—really I've joined so many communities and some of them are paid and I'm pretty shocked that huddle isn't paid because you all do such a great job.”

What’s Huddle, you ask? We’re a vetted community of 700+ designers, builders, and creatives that work on startups together.
Startups apply to reserve Huddles (individuals or teams from our community) for things like MVPs, design help, pitch decks, software engineering, branding, marketing, advisory, and more. We help put the team together and care for all the messy bits - paperwork, legal, taxes, equity, etc. Plus, we host ongoing digital and IRL events to meet other members.
“One part creative club, two parts the best f’n agency for startups ever”
